Explore short walks around Kirkby Stephen including the Poetry Trail and 9 Standards made famous by Julia Bradbury. explore hidden secrets of the Howgills. there are medium distance walks such as the Lady Ann Clifford Way, Pennine journey, Westmorland Heritage Way, the Eden Way, just to mention a few. If cycling is your thing there are the Buttertubs, Crossfell, Lambs Moss, just some of the many cycle rides that go from the hostel.

You can us the classic coaches for a trip down nostalgia lane to one of the lovely Eden Villages and walk back. Or you could go on the famouse Settle to Carlisle railway doing one of the guided walks.

The Hostel holds 36 to 38 people with ensuite rooms.
